The twelfth day of the festival

19. junij 2026

The twelfth day of the festival opens a space for diverse creative voices and theatrical forms that, through personal stories, social critique, and experimentation, explore the body, identity, everyday life, and contemporary power relations.

The Student Programme will feature the performances I, David and Scenes from Everyday Life. The former draws on the true story of David Reimer to question binary understandings of gender and society’s perceptions of the body, while the latter builds a stage language from fragments of everyday situations and improvisations, revealing the theatricality embedded in seemingly ordinary moments.

In the Competition Programme, Mini Teatre will present Oil, an original project by director Jan Krmelj. This performative mosaic intertwines documentary theatre, lecture, sound installation, and manifesto, opening up questions of data capitalism, the climate crisis, and the possibilities of collective action in a world confronted by ever-emerging crises.

The festival evening will conclude with L’Addition, directed by Tim Etchells. From a simple situation between a guest and a waiter emerges a witty and absurd theatrical game that, through repetition, role-switching, and humour, exposes fragile power dynamics and demonstrates that, in the end, someone else always picks up the bill.
