“Our production is based on projects that must happen. We are not stopped by obstacles such as lack of money, time, expertise, colleagues or energy. We have what we have, and we work with it. Whether the DIY (Do It Yourself) philosophy is a conscious decision or an inevitable aspect of our work is irrelevant. This is how we do it.
We create most of our sets, costumes and props ourselves. Sometimes we buy them in second-hand shops, sometimes we pull them from attics, basements or leftover materials, and sometimes they are donated to us. A few things we’ve also bought new. We adhere to the saying, If you can’t fix it with duct tape, you haven’t used enough. When you work without a pre-determined plan, when you work collaboratively and creatively, you are testing, experimenting and hoping that the wall you’re butting your head against will fall before you break your skull.
The diverse and eclectic arrangement of scenic elements, photographs, props and costumes illuminates the imagination, ambition, fearlessness, determination and love that guide us in our creative process.
The exhibition will remind those familiar with KUD Moment’s production of why they keep coming back. And in those who don’t know us yet, it will ignite an inextinguishable spark of curiosity.”
The exhibition is open daily during the festival from 4 PM to 7 PM. Guided tours will be held as part of the exhibition on June 4 and 13 at 6 PM, and on June 11 at 7 PM.
