bambus collective is predominantly interested in authorial poetry set to music and has a unique way of developing it into a genre-diversified, performative-sonorous experience. It offers everything from rock, metal and jazz to improvised passages between verses. The collective has been performing across Slovenia since July 2024, when they released their debut album neskončno dolgi pogovori. The album features original songs as well as a cover of Marko Brecelj’s “Ta stol”, the author’s tribute to the heritage of poetry set to music. The album was created under the mentorship of poet Nina Medved and musician Samo Šalamon. Alongside Šalamon, Boštjan Gombač, Žan Cesar and others also contributed to the making of the album.
