An Evening Debate on Scenography

An evening debate with invited set designers, architects by training, will open a discussion about the importance of scenography in productions, working backstage and the meaning of the space in a production’s concept. The event will introduce considerations on the relationship between space, architecture and set design as a response to social questions that appear in the productions and in reality. The participants will also illuminate the behind the scenes of set design creativity as an essential part of the Maribor Theatre Festival.

The round table is a part of the touring exhibition The Power of Youth: Young Architects in the Space of Stage Scenography, which will be open to the public between 8 and 21 June 2026 in the Foyer of Kazina Hall.
