On the occasion of the 80th UL AGRFT jubilee, the discussion will shed light on the Academy’s development, importance and role in the educational, theatrical and film space. Through participants’ memories and reflections, we will chart the institution’s path from its beginnings until today, with insights into the key achievements, ambitions and challenges that have shaped it. This jubilee is thus an opportunity not only to revive the Academy’s past but also to reflect on its current position and future directions.

The online exhibition will complement these insights with a selection of archival materials that reveal the school’s transformations over time. It particularly highlights the spatial conditions that left an indelible mark on the Academy, as it operated for decades in the inadequate premises of a Franciscan monastery. And this very confrontation with its own history – including its less exposed layers – raises questions about the institution’s identity today and its future development.
